Outcomes and Collaborations

We are fortunate to support a wide variety of research projects on campus spanning various topics within microbiology!

Want to share?

Congratulations on communicating your research to the public via talks, events, and publications! If you received assistance from the Bioinformatics Research Support Service in any way and it helped you in your work, we’d love to hear about it.

We may highlight research publications on our website in the publications list (to come).

We also love to hear about non-traditional research outcomes that are not captured in publication lists and resumes! Thesis defenses count too!

Acknowledgments

To recognize the general use of the Bioinformatics Research Support Service in publications, please consider including the Acknowledgment:

“[Bioinformatics expertise – adapt as needed] was provided by Dr. Patricia Q. Tran of the Bioinformatics Research Support Service in the Department of Bacteriology at the University of Wisconsin–Madison”

You are welcome to adapt the text to specify the specific type of help you received.

Research Collaborations

For projects where our expertise goes beyond regular technical help, and enter the realm of scientific collaborations, please have the student and involved Principal Investigator (usually, the lab faculty member) discuss with us about project collaboration expectations, co-authorships, and grants.
